Avocado Toast
Classic and Simple Avocado Toast
Ingredients:
1 slice of toasted bread (I used ciabatta)
1/2 of an avocado
Sprinkle of salt to taste
Sprinkle of red pepper flakes to taste
Drizzle of olive oil
Directions:
Toast bread either in the toaster or fry it in olive oil on both sides until it is beautifully golden.
Thinly slice the avocado and then set it on the toast.
Season the avocado with salt and red pepper flakes.
Drizzle with olive oil
Enjoy!
Bruschetta-Inspired Avocado Toast
Ingredients:
1 slice of toasted bread
1/4 of an avocado
1 Roma tomato
1 clove garlic
2 sprigs of Italian parsley or a few basil leaves.
1-2 tbsp olive oil
Salt to taste
Drizzle of balsamic reduction
Directions:
Chop the tomato into 1 cm cubes.
Finely mince 1 clove of garlic.
Chop the parsley or basil.
Add chopped tomato, finely minced garlic, and chopped herbs to a bowl, and season with salt and olive oil.
Mix the bruschetta mixture, and set it aside.
Toast bread either in the toaster or fry it in olive oil on both sides until it is beautifully golden.
Mash the avocado and spread it evenly on the toast.
Spoon the bruschetta mixture over the toast.
Drizzle with balsamic reduction.
Enjoy!
Avocado Toast with Fried Egg and Chili Oil
Ingredients:
1 slice of toasted bread
1/4 of an avocado
1 egg fried over-easy, or to preferred doneness
Drizzle of chili oil
Salt to taste
Directions:
Toast bread either in the toaster or fry it in olive oil on both sides until it is beautifully golden.
Mash and spread the avocado evenly on the toast.
Fry an egg to preferred doneness, then place it onto the avocado toast.
Season the egg with salt.
Drizzle the egg with chili oil.
