A little about the person behind the food…


Hi, my name is Tess. I am a self-taught baker and home cook, with a passion for both food itself and the science of food and nutrition. This passion lends itself to making things that are both delicious and nutritious. My main goal is adjusting classic recipes to fit the dietary needs of whomever I am cooking for.

This blog is a passion project for me that started when I noticed that people with dietary restrictions felt like they were missing out on the flavors and comforts of their favorite foods. From this, my idea was born — coming up with recipes that taste like The Real Thing while accommodating various dietary restrictions (ranging from gluten-free, low-fat, and fat-free to vegetarian and vegan).

Of course, I also make more indulgent recipes… basically, this blog is a catalog of the recipes I have in my head. Anyway, thanks for taking a look!
